ABOUT US

Our Vision

Youth: To provide empowering volunteer opportunities to youth through experiential learning while engaging in participatory community development initiatives and cultivating positive, cross-cultural relationships. In turn, we provide youth with first hand education in social justice and exemplary leadership skills.

Communities: To cultivate relationships with communities and work in solidarity to create and sustain long-term transformational projects.

Projects: To help build and sustain long-term, participatory
HAND OPENING TO ALL
community development initiatives driven by a partnership between American and African youth and community partners (locally, nationally and internationally).

Our Values

Faith: We express our faith through relationship-based spirituality, believing that our relationships are the true foundations of spiritual life.

Community: We encourage the creation of communities, both locally and internationally, that model compassion and understanding. We value long-term relationships with communities, and the use of a holistic approach (encompassing physical, mental, spiritual and emotional aspects of people and issues) to encourage reconciliation and social justice around the world.

Justice: We seek to understand the various forms of oppression and injustices in our world by listening to the personal testimonies of those who have experienced them. We aim to breakdown power imbalances, stereotypes and prejudices, while restoring social justice through education, action and building new equitable relationships.

Others:
Equity, advocacy, respect, compassion, love, reconciliation, forgiveness, acceptance, trust.
